Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to eradicating corruption -- acts he described as having severely plagued the nation, from government institutions to companies run by the central and regional governments.

"We are aware that corruption remains a tough challenge for our country. Corrupt acts are prevalent among bureaucrats in every echelon of every government institution and organization, as well as state-run and region-run enterprises," he said in Jakarta on Friday.

Delivering a state address during the 2025 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Prabowo stressed that the nation should acknowledge and confront corruption rather than conceal it.
