Jakarta, July 2 -- People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Deputy Speaker Hidayat Nur Wahid expressed hope that President Prabowo Subianto would leverage his ongoing visit to Saudi Arabia to rally support for concrete actions against Israeli genocide in Gaza, Palestine.

"Hopefully, President Prabowo can invite Saudi Arabia and other countries to take more concrete action to save humanity and civilizations by putting an end to the genocidal war in Gaza," he remarked in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Wahid supported his statement by emphasizing that Indonesia's 1945 Constitution clearly mandates the state to contribute to building world peace-a mission hindered by Israel's illegal occupation and indiscriminate attacks on Gaza.
