Jakarta, April 7 -- President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his commitment to making protein-rich food, such as meat, eggs, and milk, more affordable for all Indonesians.

During his speech on the stability of national food prices at the rice harvest in Majalengka on Monday, Prabowo outlined his goal to achieve this by 2026 at the latest.

"(This is) so (that) all people can increase their protein intake. Protein is important for younger generations. They should be able to consume protein at affordable prices," he emphasized.

On the occasion, the president also praised the Agriculture Ministry for its efforts in stabilizing food prices in the past few months.
