Jakarta, Feb. 6 -- President Prabowo Subianto wants Indonesia to accelerate the achievement of its 2060 Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target, including by increasing the government's role in supporting the battery needs of the electric car industry.

This was conveyed by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/head of the Investment Coordinating Board, Rosan Roeslani, after a limited meeting with the President at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday.

"We are already committed to Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060, in fact, the President's wish can be achieved even sooner," the minister said.
