Jakarta, Aug. 31 -- President Prabowo Subianto has called on the leadership of the House of Representatives (DPR) and political party chairmen to ensure their legislators remain sensitive to public concerns and consistently prioritize the people's interests.

Speaking at a press conference at Merdeka Palace on Sunday, following a meeting with party leaders and state officials, Prabowo emphasized that his administration-alongside political parties both in and out of government-is committed to defending the rights of all citizens, especially the marginalized.

"The DPR leadership and party chairmen have conveyed through faction leaders that legislators must stay attentive and act in the public's interest," he said.
