Jakarta, Feb. 2 -- President Prabowo Subianto on Monday stressed that ethical leadership rooted in honesty, fairness, and service to the public interest is what Indonesians expect from their leaders.

He made the remarks while opening the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of Central and Regional Governments in Bogor, West Java.

Prabowo said government officials at both the central and regional levels must understand their ethical responsibility as leaders of the people, noting that citizens essentially want a calm, just, and harmonious life.
