Jakarta, Dec. 5 -- President Prabowo Subianto has officially ratified the extradition agreement with the Russian Federation by issuing Law Number 19 of 2025.

According to information obtained from the Legal Documentation and Information Network (JDIH) of the Ministry of State Secretariat here on Friday, the law was signed by the President on October 29, 2025, in Jakarta.

This regulation serves as the domestic legal basis for the bilateral treaty, aimed at strengthening law enforcement cooperation between the two countries, particularly in combating transnational crime.

The agreement was previously signed by the Indonesian and Russian governments on March 31, 2023, in Bali, Indonesia.
