Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto to prepare human resources to meet the growing needs of the fisheries industry.

The directive was conveyed during a meeting with Yuliarto and several other officials at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday.

"I was tasked with preparing the human resources because many new fisheries enterprises are set to open," Yuliarto told reporters after the meeting.

He explained that his responsibility is to ensure that the workforce being developed possesses the necessary skills to support programs initiated by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
