Jakarta, March 30 -- Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto has invited former presidents and former vice presidents to the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta for an Eid al-Fitr gathering to celebrate the end of Ramadan and welcome the month of Syawwal on Monday (March 31).

Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana told reporters here Sunday that according to plan, President Prabowo organizes a friendly gathering after performing the Eid prayer at Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta.

Besides inviting his predecessors, the head of state has also invited state officials, ambassadors, representatives from international organizations, religious figures, and community leaders.
