Jakarta, July 21 -- President Prabowo Subianto has asked chief of the Indonesian National Police ( Polri ), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin to take firm action against those involved in the recently uncovered rice adulteration case.

"The perpetrators labeled and sold ordinary rice as premium at higher prices, a practice that constitutes a scam. I want the attorney general and Polri chief to investigate and address this crime," he said at the launch of the Red and White Village Cooperatives at a village in Klaten, Central Java, on Monday.
