Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Dony Oskaria as acting SOE minister to succeed Erick Thohir, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi announced.

"As instructed by the President, and as conveyed to all relevant parties, Dony Oskaria has been appointed acting minister for the SOE Ministry," Hadi said at a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday.

Hadi explained that Oskaria's appointment was based on his current role as deputy minister at the SOE Ministry and the fact that he does not serve in Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund agency, Danantara Indonesia.
