Beijing, Aug. 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has been invited by Chinese President Xi Jinping to attend the Victory Day Parade in Beijing on September 3, 2025, the Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed.

The parade will commemorate the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

"President Xi Jinping invited 26 heads of state and government to attend the commemoration, they are ... Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto," Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei said at a press conference here on Thursday.
