Jakarta, July 16 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed that he and United States President Donald Trump agreed to elevate trade relations between their countries during a phone call.
He shared photos of the call on his Instagram account @prabowo just hours after President Trump announced his decision to lower tariffs on Indonesian goods entering the US from 32 percent to 19 percent.
"I had a very good call with President Donald Trump. Together, we agreed and concluded to take trade relations between Indonesia and the United States to a new era of mutual benefits," Prabowo wrote in the caption, as cited in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The head of state also conveyed Trump's warm regards to the people of Indonesia.
