Jakarta, April 7 -- President Prabowo Subianto and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim discussed the effects of the new import tariffs imposed by the United States on ASEAN countries during their meeting in Putrajaya, Malaysia's administrative capital, on Sunday.

Anwar described the meeting with Prabowo, whom he called an "old friend," as having taken place "under the atmosphere of blessed Eid al-Fitr." He hosted the meeting at Seri Perdana, his official residence.
