Jakarta, Aug. 2 -- Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto provided instructions to ministers of the Red and White Cabinet concerning the anticipation of forest and land fires (karhutla), which frequently occur during the dry season, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated.

During a limited meeting on Friday, the president instructed his ministers to prepare anticipatory measures, especially in vulnerable areas such as Kalimantan and Sumatra.

"President Prabowo gave directions on preventive measures against potential forest fires during the dry season," Wijaya remarked on Saturday.
