Jakarta, June 8 -- President Prabowo Subianto has ensured that the presence of Red and White Village Cooperatives will not compete with, and furthermore will not undermine the village-owned enterprises (BUMDes).

"President Prabowo ensured that the Red and White Village Cooperatives will complement, rather than undermine BUMDes, fostering mutual growth," Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.

This was conveyed during a visit to Kaur District, Bengkulu, on Saturday, to monitor the formation of the village cooperatives in the district.
