Jakarta, May 31 -- President Prabowo Subianto hosted the UK Government's International Education Champion, Prof. Sir Steve Smith, in Hambalang, Friday, to discuss cooperation in the education sector between both nations, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The discussion focused on strategic steps to enhance cooperation, especially by strengthening partnerships between Indonesian universities and prominent universities in the United Kingdom.

"Several universities in the United Kingdom are interested in opening their campuses in Indonesia," Wijaya noted in an official broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat.
