Jakarta, June 11 -- The Nutrition Fulfillment Service Station of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) distributed 159 free nutritious meal (MBG) packages for pregnant women in Kalideres Sub-District, West Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Each food package served in the MBG program consists of rice, chicken stew, stir-fried tempeh, banana, and cucumber.

"This free nutritious food menu for pregnant women contains important nutrients for the first 1,000 days of (a baby's) life in an effort to prevent stunting and improve fetal health," Kalideres Village Head Ian Imanuddin said.

The distribution of free nutritious food packages is carried out through coordinators in each smaller neighborhood unit.
