Jakarta, July 17 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo outlined the Jakarta Provincial Government's initiatives to mainstream the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into local policies and programs.
During his presentation at the High-Level Political Forum: Local and Regional Governments Forum held at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York on Wednesday, he stated that Jakarta's aim to rank among the top 50 global cities by 2030 is closely tied to sustainable development efforts.
"This requires a significant shift in the city's appeal, infrastructure provision, bureaucratic transformation, political support, transparent public communication, and human resources quality," he noted in a press statement on Thursday.
