Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the job shortage while stressing that the nation's future employment potential remains immense.

"We understand the difficulty of finding work in certain places and for certain groups," the President said in a statement received on Monday.

"But we have proven that our government has created many jobs, and the potential for future employment is enormous," he added.

Prabowo also said the government is preparing social protection programs for the poorest citizens.

"We have allocated substantial support and safety nets for the most vulnerable. I won't go into detail here; you can check the specifics," he said.
