Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto flew to Doha, Qatar, to personally convey Jakarta's support to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following Israel's recent airstrike on a residential area in the capital.

Speaking from Jakarta on Friday afternoon, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed that President Prabowo held an immediate meeting with Emir Al Thani upon arriving in Doha.

"Today, President Prabowo flew to Doha to meet with the emir on Friday afternoon local time. He decided to make the visit promptly in response to Israel's attack on Doha on Tuesday, September 9," Wijaya stated.
