Jakarta, June 2 -- President Prabowo Subianto has urged citizens not to let differences divide them, especially when such divisions may be instigated by foreign powers seeking to prevent Indonesia from becoming a strong and prosperous nation.

Speaking at a national event commemorating the birth of Pancasila-the state ideology-in Jakarta on Monday, Prabowo emphasized the importance of maintaining unity in the face of external provocations.

"Once again, I call on all Indonesians to stay united. Differences should not become a source of conflict. That is exactly what foreign powers hope for," he said.

Prabowo noted that Indonesia's long history of colonization and foreign interference reflects a recurring effort to create division.
