Jakarta, Jan. 31 -- President Prabowo Subianto has called on the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) to remain committed to upholding the law and maintaining national sovereignty.

"TNI and Polri are two institutions that embody the state's presence and the enforcement of sovereignty, the Constitution, laws, presidential decrees, and government regulations," Prabowo stated during the TNI-Polri leadership meeting in Jakarta on Thursday (Jan 30).

According to Prabowo, laws and regulations are meaningless without proper enforcement by law enforcement agencies.
