Jakarta, July 7 -- At the 17th BRICS Summit, President Prabowo Subianto urged BRICS members to initiate a South-South economic compact to improve access for developing countries in the Global South, enabling them to better integrate into global supply chains.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir confirmed this in a statement received here on Monday. The summit, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, discussed various issues including multilateral relations, finance, and artificial intelligence.
