Jakarta, Feb. 15 -- President Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude to his predecessor, Joko Widodo-popularly known as Jokowi-for his service.

During an event marking the 17th anniversary of the Gerindra Party, which he leads, Prabowo emphasized the importance of honoring past national leaders and recognizing their positive contributions.

"Thank you, Mr. Jokowi, thank you. We should respect our predecessors and appreciate their achievements instead of focusing on shortcomings. I believe they have all contributed their share of service and goodness," Prabowo remarked.

He acknowledged that while every leader has imperfections, the nation must learn from them to move forward.
