Sumedang, West Java, July 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto decided to cancel his plan to inaugurate 1,100 graduates of the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) in order to prepare for a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The president was initially scheduled to officiate the graduates as civil servants and deliver directives to them at the IPDN Campus in Sumedang District, West Java, on Monday morning.

"We just received information confirming that the president has canceled his visit because he is set to hold an important meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Jakarta this afternoon, which indeed requires preparations," Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto remarked.
