Jakarta, March 13 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced his plan to establish a prison on a remote island dedicated to penalizing corrupt individuals for their severe offenses against the Indonesian nation.

"I will also allocate a budget to build a prison in a secluded location, from where it will be impossible for corruptors to escape," he remarked at the headquarters of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in Jakarta on Thursday.

Prabowo extensively discussed the detrimental impact of corrupt practices on society, highlighting that those involved in such crimes have been among the biggest obstacles to national development efforts.
