Jakarta, April 30 -- Indonesia's National Police (Polri) has prepared security measures ahead of International Labor Day (May Day), which will be marked by an event organized by Indonesian workers' unions on Thursday.
Securing traffic routes will be the top priority during the May Day celebration, according to Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, chief of Polri's Traffic Corps (Korlantas).
"We guarantee escort services, whether centrally managed or vehicle-attached. Korlantas' role is to support and strengthen overall security. In particular, we must clearly define technical security measures in each sector," he said on Wednesday.
