Jakarta, Oct. 31 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed optimism that the recent meeting between United States President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping would help ease global political and economic tensions.
Prabowo shared his view after his bilateral talks with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon on the sidelines of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, on Friday.
"I heard that the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere, as we hoped. That encounter will have a significant impact on global stability, on which the world economy heavily depends," he remarked in a video statement released by the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta.
