Mojokerto, East Java, Nov. 25 -- President Prabowo Subianto's electric pedicab donation program is expected to benefit about 5,000 elderly drivers across Indonesia by the end of this year, according to the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) Foundation.

GSN Foundation Deputy Chair Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said around 2,300 electric pedicabs have been distributed so far, approaching the 5,000-unit target.

"We aim to distribute an additional 6,000 units in 2026," she said during the handover of 100 electric pedicabs to residents in Mojokerto District, East Java, on Tuesday.

Deyang said President Prabowo used his personal funds to procure the vehicles, stressing that the initiative is not financed by the State Budget.
