Jakarta, Feb. 14 -- President Prabowo Subianto's closeness with leaders such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stems from having similar interests as members of the G20.

In a voice message to ANTARA here on Friday, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) spokesperson, Philips J. Vermonte, stated that Turkey, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia all have significant roles to play as fellow members of the G20.

"Hence, they are like leading countries among the developing nations in the Global South. They feel it is in their shared interest to advance and ensure economic growth is sustainable," Vermonte remarked.
