Jakarta, Sept. 11 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday promoted the expansion of the government's Sekolah Rakyat (People's School) Program, aimed at bringing school dropouts back to class and restoring their self-confidence.

During a visit to Margaguna 10th Senior High People's School in South Jakarta, Prabowo said the program provides "a real solution" for underprivileged children who left school because of financial hardship.

"Children who have dropped out can return to the classroom. Those who once felt inferior because of family struggles are welcomed into an environment where they can grow confident and receive quality education," he said.
