Jakarta, April 12 -- President Prabowo Subianto, in his speech at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025 in Turkiye on Friday, proposed that the UN Security Council (UNSC) increase its number of permanent members.

"Now, there are demands that the security council's permanent members should be increased to represent the reality of this present world," he stated at the forum, monitored online here.

The president emphasized that countries, such as India and Brazil, with significant populations and roles, remain underrepresented in the highest organs of the UN.

Prabowo advocated improving and building upon the existing system rather than creating a new one.
