Jakarta, Nov. 4 -- President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed that food security is the top priority of his administration's first year, calling it "the most strategic" sector for national resilience.

"I have instructed all government officials that our first-year focus is food security because it is the most strategic," he said during a visit to the New Tanah Abang Station on Tuesday.

To accelerate progress, Prabowo signed a decree establishing food self-sufficiency zones nationwide, aligned with the Asta Cita missions to empower farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. The government aims to achieve full food self-sufficiency by 2028.
