Jakarta, June 27 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said he considers Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim not only a personal friend but also a friend of the Indonesian nation.

"Today, I am truly pleased to have the opportunity to receive Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Anwar Ibrahim in Jakarta. More than a personal best friend, Mr. Anwar has become a friend to all the people of Indonesia," he said at a joint press conference at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
