Indonesia, Jan. 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto has praised the dedication of field personnel who have been working tirelessly for more than 20 days to respond to the disaster in Sumatra.

He said such sustained efforts are crucial to accelerating recovery for communities affected by the disaster.

During his visit to the disaster-hit area, the president directly observed the work of personnel from the police, the Indonesian military, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the Ministry of Public Works (PU), and other institutions. Despite limited resources, the teams have continued to work together to assist residents and search for victims.
