Jakarta, Oct. 20 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Monday praised his cabinet ministers for their unity and teamwork, saying their cooperation across political and social lines has been key to his government's progress in its first year.

"I thank my brothers and sisters from different regions, ethnicities, religions, and political parties," Prabowo said as he opened a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta.

He noted that his cabinet includes ministers and deputy ministers from a wide range of political backgrounds - both from parties that supported him during the election and those that joined afterward.
