Jakarta, Dec. 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto has ordered a swift, accurate, and comprehensive response to the severe flooding and landslides in Sumatra, said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"The President emphasized that all disaster response measures must be carried out swiftly, accurately, and comprehensively," Wijaya stated in a post on the Cabinet Secretariat's official Instagram account on Monday.

Wijaya reported that President Prabowo departed from Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at around 6 a.m. on Monday, heading to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport in North Tapanuli, North Sumatra. From there, he continued by Air Force Caracal helicopter to Central Tapanuli District.
