Jakarta, Nov. 3 -- President Prabowo Subianto has directed state-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) to add more carriages to its Commuter Line (KRL) service to improve passenger comfort and reduce overcrowding, particularly during peak hours.
Following a limited cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace, PT KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin conveyed the president's concerns about the daily challenges faced by Greater Jakarta commuters who rely heavily on the KRL system.
"The president emphasized that KRL services must be made as comfortable as possible. I explained that our trains are already overcrowded during rush hour, and he responded with a clear directive to immediately add more carriages," Rasyidin said ...
