Jakarta, July 17 -- Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya described the meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko earlier this week as a reunion of old friends.

On his way back to Indonesia from Paris, Prabowo made a brief halt at Belarus, where he met with Lukashenko at the Belarusian leader's residence outside Minsk on Tuesday (July 15, 2025).

"President Prabowo Subianto is the second president after Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit President Lukashenko's residence after its renovation," Wijaya said in a statement released in Jakarta on Thursday.
