Jakarta, Dec. 11 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto directly invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to make an official visit to Indonesia during a bilateral meeting at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow on Wednesday (December 10).
The meeting followed the Indonesian leader's engagements with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. Prabowo and Putin last held a meeting in St. Petersburg in June 2025.
"On this occasion, I would like to invite Your Excellency, President Putin, to Indonesia, either in 2026 or 2027. We hope that Mr. President will visit Indonesia," Prabowo stated during a livestream broadcast on his secretariat's YouTube channel.
