Jakarta, May 26 -- Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto has invited Laotian Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone to explore the vast opportunities for increasing the value of bilateral trade between the two countries.

The two leaders co-chaired a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations on the sidelines of the 46th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday.

"It is true that the two countries have been enjoying harmonious relations for years. However, we have to acknowledge a slight decline in our bilateral trade. Let us find ways to intensify and strengthen our trade ties," he told PM Siphandone during the meeting.
