Jakarta, June 7 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially accepted an invitation to attend the G7 Summit scheduled for mid-June 2025 in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya conveyed this information through the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, Saturday.

"In addition to the official written invitation, the invitation for President Prabowo to attend as a guest of honor at the G7 Summit was also conveyed directly by the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, via telephone yesterday," the statement said.

During their telephonic conversation, PM Carney praised President Prabowo's leadership and expressed strong hopes for his attendance at the summit.
