Batang, Central Java, March 20 -- President Prabowo Subianto officially opened the Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Java on Thursday, a project developed during President Joko Widodo's administration.

"I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, inaugurate the Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone, Central Java," he remarked at the inauguration ceremony on Thursday.

He commended the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and his ministries for their contributions to the development of this SEZ, which is expected to become a modern industrial center akin to Shenzhen in China.
