Jakarta, Jan. 23 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto introduced to the world his administration's plans to establish at least one thousand modernized fishing villages at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

"We are also going to modernize what we call new fishing villages. We will build at least 1,000 this year, but we actually want to allocate funds for 5,000 villages," he told world leaders at the high-level conference on Thursday (Jan. 22).
