Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani stated that President Prabowo Subianto has succeeded in strengthening the nation during his first year in office.

"Under the leadership of President Prabowo in this first year, we have witnessed a strong determination to uphold the spirit of that message, to make Indonesia a great and strong nation," Muzani said in his speech during the MPR annual session here on Friday.

Efforts to reinforce national sovereignty, he explained, have been carried out by Prabowo through various programs in strengthening food security, energy security, national defense, and technological mastery.
