Jakarta, June 16 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto instructed that airports in Indonesian cities be opened to increase direct flight connectivity with Singaporean airlines.

"I have instructed the relevant ministries in Indonesia to open all airports to direct foreign airline connections to our airports," he noted in a joint press statement with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong following the Leaders' Retreat at the Parliament House, Singapore, Monday.

The president stated that Indonesia is committed to increasing the intensity of flights as before the COVID-19 pandemic, with even more flights planned.
