Jakarta, Dec. 13 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said the government will swiftly meet the most urgent needs of residents affected by floods and landslides in Langkat District, North Sumatra, particularly access to clean water for drinking and sanitation.
Prabowo made the statement during a visit to a refugee shelter at Public Islamic High School 1 in Langkat on Saturday.
"I came here to see the situation directly. The governor has informed me about the urgent needs, including clean drinking water. We will address these needs immediately," Prabowo said in a livestream broadcast on his secretariat's YouTube channel.
