Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto shared details of his 45-year friendship with the King of Malaysia, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, during his visit to Malaysia.

"I and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong have been maintaining ties for a very long time--maybe 45 years. Our friendship dates back to our studies in the United States during our youth," he told the media on Monday.

The President made the remarks at a press conference after a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to a statement released by his secretariat here.
