Jakarta, Dec. 13 -- President Prabowo Subianto has directed Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to strengthen early warning systems in regions expected to face heavy rainfall ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays.

"The President has requested continuous monitoring, including early warnings from BMKG for areas that may see increased rainfall during the holiday period, so that the situation can be properly anticipated," State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said in an official statement received by ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday.
